SPRAT to IRATA Technician Conversion Requirements

To convert from SPRAT to an IRATA technician, the following requirements must be met:

1. The conversion process is guided by the SPRAT to IRATA Technician Conversion Requirements (TC-335ENG) document.
2. The IRATA Training Member Company (TMC) must submit a request to IRATA HQ for a SPRAT Conversion Approval Letter using the official Conversion Request Form.
3. The candidate must hold a valid SPRAT certificate and maintain an up-to-date logbook and other necessary documentation.
4. To qualify for conversion, the candidate must have held SPRAT Level  certification for a minimum of one year and logged 1000 hours of experience.
5. The candidate will need to be assessed on all Level  maneuvers and rescues.

If the candidate does not meet the requirements of 1000 hours or one year of experience, they will only be eligible to apply for Level below current SPRAT certification.
